Cornhusker Kennel Club - Activities and Services

Public Education: CKC meets the second Tuesday of every month except July and August. We often have programs and/or guest speakers at these meetings and the public is always welcome. We put on an all breed dog show in October at the Lancaster County Events Center, 84th and Havelock Ave in Lincoln, Nebraska. We also do a combined TD/TDX tracking event in March each year at Branched Oak State Recreation Area. CKC has donated videos of all AKC breeds to the Lincoln City Library system for public use. People can check them out to learn more about a breed they are looking at to adopt, don't know what breed they want for sure or just to learn more about specific breeds.

Monthly Meetings: The Cornhusker Kennel Club holds it's monthly general meeting the second Tuesday of each month except July and August from 8-10pm. This takes place at Kenl Inn at 10241 E. Old Cheney Rd (402) 488-8190. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.

Conformation Class Information: We have conformation classes on Tuesday evenings at 6:00 pm at Kenl Inn at 10241 E Old Cheney Rd. This is an air-conditioned building. If you want to sign up for a class please contact Randy Miller (triplerbrits@yahoo.com), 15375 Saltillo Road, Bennet Nebraska 68317. He will be able to let you know about upcoming session dates and fees and will get you signed up for the training classes. The next session starts Tuesday 10/13/09 at 6:00 pm with the last session being on 11/17/09. The time may have to be adjusted after the first class to accomodate class size if needed.

The instructor for these classes is Laura Reeves. She is a professional handler and will teach you the "tricks of the trade".
