Train your own Service Dog! At Pets & People, we empower folks to train their own dogs, but we will provide a dog for you (if you need one). Visit us for information, photos of our successes, and notes from a trip to Israel (where we found out why there are few Service Dogs in Arab countries). Of course, our therapy animal program is open to dogs, too.

Ft. Leavenworth Human Animal Bond Program

The Ft. Leavenworth Human Animal Bond Program (HAB) is a non-profit service organization staffed by area volunteers dedicated to providing animal assisted activities and promoting the human-animal bond. It consists of individuals and "teams" that go on scheduled calls to area hospitals, schools, various types of health care facilities and convalescent centers. Informational and educational monthly meetings are held for the membership.

Circle Tail, Inc.

Circle Tail is a non-profit organization established in 1997 with 2 missions. The first is to provide care, education and training necessary to partner assistance dogs with physically or cognitively challenged individuals. These dogs are trained at no cost to the individual. The second mission of Circle Tail is to create an animal sanctuary, providing a protected environment and refuge for all types of abandoned or mistreated animals, such as dogs, cats, goats, cows, etc. For more information, please visit our site.
